Meditation Malas in 8mm Gemstones
OceanEyes is a collection of hand-knotted Japa Malas created for meditation, mantra practice and mindful living.
Each Mala is composed bead by bead in our atelier, combining natural gemstones, a Guru Bead and a handmade tassel. Some designs incorporate sandalwood or Rudraksha, creating subtle variations in texture, colour and rhythm.
Rooted in the tradition of the Japa Mala and shaped by ShaSha’s contemporary vision, each piece is designed to accompany a personal practice : one breath, one mantra, one bead at a time.
The Red bead
Throughout India, red appears as a powerful visual presence : in textiles, rituals and traditional marks worn on the forehead and along the hair parting.
This recurring touch of red inspired a small signature within the OceanEyes collection : a single red lotus bead, placed within each Mala.
Like a point of focus in meditation, it creates a subtle visual anchor : a place for the eye to pause and the attention to return.
